The Knowledge Exchange Forum, organized by ThumbsUp, brought together key stakeholders to discuss the potential impact and benefits of compact Thermal Energy Storage (TES) solutions in the energy transition. The event focused on how these solutions can help reduce costs, enhance energy efficiency, and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources (RES) into the grid.

As part of the forum, the ECHO project, in collaboration with Efficient Buildings Europe, presented its approach to integrating the end-user perspective into the development of energy solutions. Maria Chiesa, European Funding Development Engineering Expert at Tinexta Innovation Hub, provided valuable insights on ensuring that the solutions we develop meet the needs and interests of future customers.

The discussion was enriched by contributions from Romane Faure, Policy and Project Officer at Efficient Buildings Europe, and Rafael Nunes, Economic Analyst at the Economic and Social Research Institute of Ireland (ESRI). The forum was moderated by Ola Gustafsson and Emilia Pisani, Project Manager at RISE.

This exchange of knowledge was an important step in shaping solutions that are not only technically advanced but also aligned with the real-world needs of end-users. We look forward to continued collaboration and progress in the energy transition.
