The ECHO project was presented at the 21st Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES), held from 30 August to 3 September 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

The international conference brought together 543 scientists, researchers and experts from 58 countries, providing a platform to exchange knowledge and discuss innovative approaches, technologies and policies for sustainable development.

During the conference, ECHO CNR representatives presented the project and its activities, introducing its work on innovative thermal energy storage solutions for more energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.

Participation in SDEWES 2026 represented a valuable opportunity to increase the visibility of ECHO within the international scientific community, exchange knowledge with experts working on sustainable energy systems and create new connections with initiatives addressing the energy transition.
