As part of its mission, the ECHO project is actively engaging in awareness-raising activities to improve public understanding of heat pump technologies and the innovative Thermal Energy Storage (TES) solutions it proposes.
These campaigns are being carried out in the Municipalities of Crevillente and Bilbao, which serve as case studies for the ECHO TSS simulations, as well as in Padua, Belgrade, and Putte, where the project’s TES test case studies are located.
By participating in sectoral fairs, conferences, and local events, ECHO aims not only to disseminate knowledge but also to involve citizens, stakeholders, and public authorities in a constructive dialogue. These initiatives are designed to shed light on the socio-economic barriers that may affect the adoption of TES solutions in the residential sector.

Previous Events
City Vision – Padua (Italy)
On October 21st and 22nd, 2024, the ECHO project was proudly presented at the City Vision event in Padua, held at the Cultural Centre Altinate S. Gaetano.
The event, titled “The Future of the Intelligent City Today”, provided a platform for experts, leaders, and innovators to discuss and share ideas on the intelligent transformation of urban areas.
During the two-day event, Laura Fedele, ECHO Project Coordinator, took the stage to present the project’s vision and explore future challenges and solutions related to Thermal Energy Storage. Her insightful presentation focused on how ECHO is addressing critical aspects of energy management, a key component for the future of smart cities.

ENERCOOP – Crevillent (Spain)
Following the first awareness event held in Padova (Italy), the ECHO consortium hosted its second local engagement session on 10 April 2025, at the headquarters of ENERCOOP in Crevillent, Spain.
The event, organised by ENERCOOP, focused on high-temperature thermal energy storage (TES) systems developed within the ECHO project and presented early findings from the Crevillent case study. With around 50 attendees, the session offered an accessible introduction to TES technology and its role in enabling greater use of renewable energy for heating.

Future Events
ENLIT – Bilbao (Spain)
In November 2025, the ECHO project will participate in ENLIT Europe, one of the most relevant international conferences dedicated to energy transition and innovative energy solutions. Taking place in Bilbao, the event brings together key stakeholders from across the energy sector, including policy makers, industry representatives, researchers, and technology providers. ECHO will join the activities of the TES Cluster, showcasing its work on Thermal Energy Storage and engaging in joint initiatives with other EU-funded projects.
