On Wednesday, 16 April, the demo-site leaders of the ECHO project gathered in Ferrara (Italy) for a technical visit to the prototype currently under development. This meeting marked an important milestone in the project’s progress, offering the opportunity to assess the results achieved so far and align on the next implementation steps.

The prototype is a modular and compact Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system designed to support heating, cooling, and domestic hot water production in buildings. The solution integrates advanced materials and a smart control system to optimise energy efficiency and enable flexibility in electricity demand, aligning with the goals of decarbonisation and renewable energy integration.

The progress made so far demonstrates the strong collaboration between project partners and the solid potential of the ECHO TES solution to contribute to sustainable energy management across different European contexts.
