We are pleased to announce that Patxi Hernández and Arantza López, senior researchers from Tecnalia and key members of the ECHO consortium, will be speaking at the upcoming TES Cluster webinar on 20th May 2025 (10:00–11:30 CEST). The session, titled “Unlocking Scalability of Modular Thermal Energy Storage,” will highlight the potential of the ECHO system to support the decarbonisation of heat supply in European cities.

With more than 20 years of experience in sustainable energy planning and consultancy, Patxi Hernández will present an in-depth analysis of how ECHO’s modular Thermal Energy Storage (TES) can significantly reduce building-related greenhouse gas emissions, using the city of Bilbao as a case study.

Arantza López, who specialises in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies, will discuss the evaluation frameworks and decision-support tools used to estimate both operational and manufacturing-related GHG emissions. Her contribution brings a valuable multi-stakeholder perspective to the assessment of clean energy technologies.

Don’t miss the opportunity to gain insights into how ECHO TES can contribute to Europe’s energy transition.
